Scouts

Jump in and get muddy. Give back and get set. Scouts ignore the butterflies and go for it, and soon so will you.

Scouts are 10½–14 years old.

Scouts enjoy an active and varied programme, which was recently updated. This update makes it more relevant to today’s young people, while keeping it exciting and full of traditional scout themes.

Each Scout Troop consists of small units of six to eight Scouts called a Patrol, usually led by a Patrol Leader. Outdoor activities feature prominently, with the highlight being camping. Throughout the year, Scouts learn various skills, such as map reading, camp cooking and first aid in preparation for camp.

In Sale District we have 8 Scout Troops  at the District level we organise a programme of events and take part in County wide events on a regular basis, for example Omega Survival Camp, Pike View hike and the Chariot Race

Due to our waiting lists and need for adult volunteers we can only accept joining enquiries for young people from the M33 post code area
